Unpaid fines for Palatine-based campaign committees totaled $17,750 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Palatine collectively owe a total of $17,750 in overdue fees, records obtained by the North Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that three committees in Palatine were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Palatine-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens for Rudd, which owes a total of $15,000.

The committee has been fined repeatedly for failure to comply.
