Unpaid fines for Evanston-based campaign committees totaled $21,550 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Evanston collectively owe a total of $21,550 in overdue fees, records obtained by the North Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Evanston were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Evanston-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Millennial Action Committee, which owes a total of $10,775.

The committee has been fined repeatedly for a late quarterly report.
