Village of Glencoe Glencoe Community Relations Committee met May 17.

I. Call to Order
The meeting began at 6:30 p.m. There was not a quorum present.
II. Approval of Meeting Minutes
a. January 20, 2016 Meeting Minutes
b. April 18, 2017 Meeting Minutes
The meeting minutes from January 20, 2016 and April 18, 2017 were not considered.
III. Public Comment
There was no public comment.
Iv. Discussion Regarding Welcoming and Inclusive Community Pledge
Member Flanagin and Member Valvassori discussed the Welcoming and Inclusive Community pledge and ideas previously generated by the Forum to support the pledge as well as other ideas, including participation in the Fourth of July parade, reading a community book and cross-promoting the pledge with other community initiatives. Member Flanagin shared that she spoke with District 35 Superintendent Catherine Wang and learned about the school district’s plans to promote the pledge.
