Palatine zoning board reviews special use permit requests

The village of Palatine Zoning Board of Appeals met March 14 to review special use permit requests.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the board:

Palatine Zoning Board of Appeals is located at 200 East Wood Street, Palatine.

The Palatine Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is an advisory body for the hearing of special use and variation petitions. Under state law, it acts as the public hearing body for the Village Council. Members listen to the public, the petitioner and Village staff.

1. 991 S. Cedar Street

Special Use to permit a setback reduction to permit an addition to be set back 19

feet from the rear lot line instead of the required 40 feet pursuant to Section

10.06 (c)(13) of the Palatine Zoning Ordinance.

2. 933 & 937 W. Ellis Street

Variations to permit two residences to exceed the Zoning Ordinance definition of two and

a half stories, pursuant to Section 10.06 (i) of the Palatine Zoning Ordinance.

3. 310 N. Brockway Street

Special Use to permit setback reductions to permit a front yard setback of 20

feet, instead of the minimum required 30 feet and a side yard abutting a street

setback of 11 feet, instead of the 20 feet, for the construction of a new home,

pursuant to Section 10.06 (c)(13) of the Palatine Zoning Ordinance
