Registration is underway for the 2017 winter men's basketball league in the Schaumburg Park District, according to www.parkfun.com.
The deadline for registration is Jan. 3. League play begins Jan. 12 and will be completed in late March. Each team will play eight games in the regular season, with the top four teams advancing to a single-elimination tournament.
Two leagues – “A” and “B” – will be formed, with games starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at the Schaumburg Park District Sports Center, 1141 W. Irving Park Road.
The resident team rate is $650 for teams, and at least 60 percent of the team members must be Schaumburg Park District residents. The nonresident rate for a team is $725.
Registration forms are available at www.parkfun.com. Registration must be done at the Sports Center; the complete team payment is due when registering.
