The commission reviewed five applications under old business and six new applications on Feb. 24.

The Glenview Appearance Commission reviewed 11 applications for Certificates of Appropriateness at its meeting on Feb. 24.

These included a trash enclosure, landscaping, lighting and signage.

Mod Pizza returned to the commission with a redesigned trash enclosure for 1496 Waukegan Road. The new plan incorporated the commission's comments. Glen Tower Center is landscaping around the multi-tenant ground signs at Patriot Boulevard and Willow Road. The applicant had doubled the perennials in the landscape plan, per the commission's previous comments. The planting plan also doubles the amount of mulch, which will help protect the plantings, reduce water use and slow weed growth.

Also returning for further review by the commission were the applicants for Glenview Grind at 1837 Glenview Road, Edward Jones Investments at 904 Waukegan Road and Astellas Parking Lot at 3750 Willow Road.

Applicants appearing for the first time before the commission included the Pearson project at 1900 E. Lake Ave. The railings on the third story of the building have failed and pose a significant safety hazard.

Remaining applications all related to signage: Adam's Kabob tenant panel at 1410 Waukegan Road, Healing Wellness tenant panel at 1720 Milwaukee Ave., Pro Samgyubsal at 3420 Milwaukee Ave., Sweet Ali's at 1107 Waukegan Road and Ten-Ninety Brewing Co. at 1015 Waukegan Road.
