Buffalo Grove's Emergency Management Agency meets, discusses various radio repairs.

Radio repairs and mast maintenance were among the agenda items of the Emergency Management Agency of Buffalo Grove's Nov. 18 meeting.

The Emergency Management Agency was updated on radio repairs, mast maintenance and the uniform update at the Nov. 18 meeting. According to this update, the Mobilecomm Cab VHF radio required repairs. Lt. Russell sent the radio out to be repaired; a back-up radio is being used in its place.

Repairs to the Will-Burt mast have been completed. The agency was informed that it should not need any major maintenance for 15 years. The routine maintenance instructions and schedule are available on a CD.

The Fire Department reported the addition of a water meter reading antenna at Station No. 26 and the addition of a radio frequency (RF) antenna to cover the missing quadrant. The RF antenna has been installed but is not yet operational. The VH camera was also discussed: if it is removed from its current location, the group would like to repurpose it elsewhere.

The uniform update was discussed. Dave Morton will forward pictures of the logo to the group. The agency also heard an update on ITECS4.

A meeting date and time change was brought before the group. The third Monday of the month at 6 p.m. was considered; however, it may be difficult to coordinate the members’ work schedules to accommodate the earlier meeting time.
