The Village of Wilmette, Illinois Foreign Fire Insurance Fund Officers met on Dec. 29 at Fire Station No. 26, 1304 Lake Ave.
After calling the meeting to order, the officers reviewed and approved the Dec. 3, 2014 meeting minutes.
The officers discussed present finances. This discussion included the program participants' annual benefit adjustment for the 2016 calendar year. The officers then moved on to old, new and unfinished business.
The group discussed the next meeting date and asked for public comment. After public comment, the meeting was adjourned.
The Foreign Fire Insurance Board consists of six active-duty Fire Department members and the Fire Chief. The six members of the board are elected by active-duty members of the Fire Department in April, the same time as the elections to the Firefighters' Pension Fund are held. The members of the board select a chairman, vice chairman and secretary-treasurer to administer the Foreign Fire Insurance Fund.
