Illinois' Prospect Heights accepting new Appearance Review Committee members.

The City of Prospect Heights, Illinois, announced on Oct. 6 that they are looking for residences who want to join the Appearance Review Committee.

This committee is an advisory committee that reviews new construction projects. It also works with the Planning Zoning Board of Appeals to make recommendations about construction, zoning, building and site appearance, as well as landscape proposals.

Interested members must be local to the Prospect Heights area and have a background in architecture or landscaping design. This opportunity is a great way to serve the community. It is important to the community of Prospect Heights to preserve, protect and restore the local buildings and to address the architectural issues affecting the people of Prospect Heights.

Prospect Heights in Cook County is home to an estimated 16,418 people.

For more information concerning the Appearance Review Committee openings, contact Dan Peterson, director of building and development, or email Mayor Nicholas Helmer.
